Born in The Netherlands, but not long after my family moved to New Zealand. Started riding at the age of seven, and since then horses are my life. In my young teenage years, I helped my mum Jannette at her riding school Eurostables, helping out with lessons and camps. At 17 I studied level 5 accounting through Tanz Ecampus NorthTec so I could keep horses/schoolers going along the side of my full-time study. After completing this study I took up a level 3 breeding course through Primary Ito and the NZ racing industry. During the 2019 winter, I got the opportunity to work and ride for Alan Waldman (husband of top showjumper Danielle Goldstein) in the Netherlands, at his breeding and jumping stable. Before returning home I had been selected to compete in Morocco in the Global Amateur tour. With the knowledge and experience that I gained, I started my own business Sharon Klijn Sporthorses, aiming to produce and breed sport horses and offering multiple horse related services which you can find under my services.
